Hurricane Katrina Cleanup – Various Federal Agencies
Greater Gulf Coast
On the heels of Hurricane Katrina which heavily damaged the Greater Gulf Coast area, Healtheon assisted the USACE; Dept. of Agriculture / NRCS; Dept. of Interior / Fish & Wildlife Service; and General Services Administration for the FBI in their various cleanup missions. Healtheon removed 238,466 tires and several thousand tons of household waste such as refrigerators. Healtheon also took part in the debris removal in areas ranging from bayous and streams to federal buildings.
